When Passion Met Necessity

Andy Rhodes of Rhodes Shoppe Paying Guitar

Andy started repairing instruments when his beginner guitar wasn’t playing to the caliber that he was. Out of necessity he found the passion for repair.

Through trial and error on his own instruments, he learned that it wasn’t the price of a guitar that makes a “good” guitar. How the guitar feels and plays is a major role in the quality of the instrument. Making entry and mid level guitars play and feel like a professional instrument is his goal for every instrument that comes across his workbench.

He understands what players of all levels are looking for when it comes to their instruments. Each instrument is play tested to find every possible place where improvements can be made.
